OUR PURPOSE (What we dream of seeing)
We exist to be a catalyst for Restoration through Relationship in communities struggling with the devastating effects of poverty.
HOW DO WE DO THIS?
- In Ethiopia:
As we serve with our Ethiopian partners, we assess ways to connect these existing organizations in relationships that augment what they are already doing. This introduction of new relationships that holistically support one another helps create greater sustainable impact in the community.
We strive to be a catalyst for "Restoration through Relationship" in 4 key areas:
Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Educational/Occupational.
1. Physical - We first help meet urgent / immediate physical needs - medical, food, clothing, shelter, etc.
2. Emotional - Emotional needs are meet via relationship, community, encouragement and simply being present to listen and serve.
3. Spiritual - As physical and emotional needs are addressed and met, people are touched by, and drawn to the love of God.
4. Educational/Occupational support, though they will take the longest to achieve, are key to sustainable solutions and will be founded upon the relationships built as we stay committed over time.
-In the USA:
We partner with businesses, individuals, NGO's, schools and churches for resources, and as a turn-key source to help develop and/or reinforce a culture of philanthropy, greater global awareness, and compassion.
One of our greatest joys and desires for more growth is partnering with US-based schools to engage them with our serve teams in preparing crafts for children in Ethiopia as well as light fundraising by students. This is a golden opportunity for kids in the states to engage with their peers overseas in developing countries.
Additionally, we train, equip and lead teams on annual service trips in order to both support our efforts, and open the eyes and hearts of team members to global needs and sustainable solutions.
