CHILD EDUCATION
These children of former prostitutes come from the extremely challenging situations. Many were conceived through interaction with a "customer" of the mother. Many have seen and experience abuse and things a child should never witness.
In 2015, Arukah Global had a dream of educating 15-20 of these children. That year, to our joyful surprise, donors provided enough to fund all 50 of the children into school for a year! Each year, as mothers graduate, children remain in school, and new women and children enter the program, the number of children increases.
As we enter 2024, there are about 130 school-age children needing education. Our goal is to support half of them.
Less than $250 a year, per child covers school fees, backpack, supplies, uniform, tutors and sometimes transportation.
